With his profound mastery in the various disciplines of religious sciences, upon the completion of his studies at Darul Uloom Madrasah, he was elected as a teacher in the school, joining his teachers in the transmission of knowledge. Shaykh Yasin al-Fadani started teaching in the school in 1937 (1356H) and in 1940, he was designated as the representative of the rector. After the incumbent rector, Shaykh Abdul Muhaimin passed away, he was appointed as the rector of the school. With the appointment, his name became more prominent especially amongst the scholars of Indonesian origin. After Sayyid Muhsin al-Musawa, Shaykh Zubair ibn Ahmad al-Filfulani and Shaykh Abdullah Muhaimin al-Lasemi, Shaykh Yasin al-Fadani was the forth rector of the reputable Darul Uloom Madrasah.
In addition to teaching at the Darul Uloom Madrasah, Shaykh Yasin al-Fadani also taught in study circles located in the Sacred Mosque of Mecca. His study circle (halaqah) is specifically located between the Door of Ibraham and the Door of al-Wada’ in the Sacred Mosque. Shaykh Yasin al-Fadani also taught at his own home and at his private library. Hundreds of students attended his lessons daily. With his profound knowledge and mastery of religious sciences, Shaykh Yasin al-Fadani taught in a compelling and engaging manner, nurturing his student to have high aspirations and continue to pursue their studies under him.

Educational Journey of Shaykh Yasin al-Fadani
Throughout his teaching career at the Darul Uloom Madrasah and the Sacred Mosque of Mecca, Shaykh Yasin al-Fadani was known as a scholar who have mastery in various disciplines of knowledge such as Quranic Exegesis (Tafsir), Hadith, Arabic Language and the study of chains of narrations (sanad). In the study of sanad, Shaykh Yasin al-Fadani was known as one of the foremost experts in the discipline. He was known as Musnid ad-Dunia.
His expertise was acknowledged by numerous scholars. Amongst them were Sayyid Muhammad ibn Alawi and Maliki and Sayyid Abdul Aziz al-Ghumari. According to Sayyid Muhammad Alawi al-Maliki, “Shaykh Yasin al-Fadami is a scholar and teacher, the musnid of Hijaz and the musnid of the world and there is no one who is as noble as him. Through him, Allah allows the knowledge of sanad to be relived after it’s death. Times has shown that there is no one like him. With the death of Shaykh Yasin al-Fadani, the knowledge of sanad will dwindle. It will be difficult and almost impossible for a figure like him to be produced. Verily, it will be difficult to have a figure as eminent as him in future.”
According to Sayyid Abdullah ibn Sadiq al-Ghumari, “Before this, I regarded Sayyid Ahmad Rafi’ al-Thanthowi as the musnid of the time. However, now Shaykh Yasin al-Fadani is the musnid of the time without doubt. Verily, this testimony is based on thorough research.”
In the discipline of sanad, Shaykh Yasin al-Fadani narrated chains of knowledge directly from 500 scholars whom he has met from all over the world. According to his own writing in the book al-Fawaid al-Janiyyah, Shaykh Yasin al-Fadani had received ijazah from about 700 scholars throughout the world including female scholars. Amongst the scholars whom Shaykh Yasin al-Fadani narrated from were Shaykh Umar Hamdan al-Mahrisi, Shaykh Muhammad Ali ibn Husayn al-Maliki, Sayyid Alawi ibn Abbas al-Maliki, Sayyid Muhsin al-Musawa, Shaykh Baqir al-Jukjawi and many more.
Here we mention some of his sanad especially in the study of Islamic Jurispundence (fiqh). Shaykh Yasin al-Fadani narrated chains of narrations up till the four masters of fiqh Imam Abu Hanifah, Imam Malik, Imam Ash-Shafi’i and Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal. In the transmission of the sanad in Fiqh of Shafi’i Mazhab, Shaykh Yasin al-Fadani narrated from the incumbent mufti of the Shafi’i Mazhab in Mecca who were Shaykh Umar ibn Abi Bajunaid and Shaykh Baqir al-Jukjawi.

Other than the above chains of knowledge, there are hundreds of other chains of knowledge narrated by Shaykh Yasin al-Fadani in the study of Shafi’i fiqh and other mazhab. In addition to this, Shaykh Yasin al-Fadani also narrated chains of knowledge in the various disciplines of Islamic religious knowledge such as Prophetic History (Sirah), Arabic Language, Islamic Spirituality (Tasawwuf) and many more.
Shaykh Yasin al-Fadani also narrated the chains of knowledge which reached the founder of the Wahhabi ideology, Shaykh Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahab. Here, we mention one of his chain which connected him to Shaykh Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahab. Shaykh Yasin al-Fadani narrated the works of Shaykh Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahabi through his teacher, Shaykh Abdullah Muhammad Ghozi who narrated from Shaykh Abdul Haq al-Ilhabadi who narrated from Shaykh Abdul Ghani al-Mujaddidi who narrated from Shaykh Muhammad Abid al-Sindi who narrated from Shaykh Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab al-Najdi.
