Mbah Moen kefutuh sebab bimbingan ayahnya (Mbah Zubair). Mbah Zubair kefutuh sebab bimbingan Kiai Faqih Maskumambang. Begitu seterusnya hingga sampai kepada Rasulullah Saw.<\/p>\n<p>Kiai Faqih Maskumambang sangat berharap bisa berguru kepada Sayyid Abu Bakar Syatha, namun apa daya tatkala ia sampai ke Haramain, ternyata sang sayyid telah kembali ke Rahmatullah. Akhirnya iapun mencari murid andalan sang sayyid yang menggelar halaqah keilmuannya di Haramain, sosok tersebut tidak lain adalah Syaikh Mahfudz al-Termasi. Kepada al-Termasi inilah Kiai Faqih mendapatkan futuh dari Allah.<\/p>\n<p>Menurut Mbah Moen, orang itu tidak bisa menjadi alim jika tidak berguru kepada kiai yang alim. Hal ini berbeda dengan sahabat nabi Muhammad Saw, yang semuanya adalah alim sebab keberkahan memandang wajah baginda nabi yang mulia.
