Beliau lahir pada tahun 393 H dan wafat pada tanggal 21 Jumadil Akhir, tahun 476 H, dalam usia 83 tahun. Umur yang berkah, tidak hanya panjang, tapi juga sangat bermanfaat bagi semesta. Waktunya untuk ibadah dan mengajar, sehingga lahir begitu banyak ulama besar yang tersebar dari timur sampai barat.<\/p>\n

Banyak fakta menarik yang berkaitan dengan tokoh yang berasal dari negeri Iran ini. Beliau sangat cinta terhadap ilmu, bahkan setiap pelajarannya, beliau ulang sebanyak 100 kali. Dan jika ditemukan 1 bait sya’ir sebagai syahid (dalil) terhadap satu kaidah, beliau menghafalnya bukan hanya satu bait tersebut, tapi semua sya’ir yang mengandung bait tersebut. Makanya tidak heran jika banyak ulama memuji kealiman beliau. Bahkan memberi gelar kepada beliau dengan hujjatullah<\/em>, dalil-dalil agama. Pantas dan layak, Rasulullah SAW menyematkan gelar syaikh kepada beliau. Rasulullah memanggil beliau dengan gelar tersebut. Dan itu membuat beliau senang. Makanya apabila ditemukan kata “Syaikh” dalam kitab fiqih, maka yang dimaksudkan adalah Abu Ishak Syairazi.<\/p>\n

\u201cPara Fuqaha datang dari berbagai daerah untuk menemui Abu Ishak. Melalui didikan beliau, lahirlah ulama-ulama besar. Dan beliau belum menunaikan haji. Karena beliau seorang fakir yang ‘iffah( yang memelihara dirinya) , lagi yang qana’ah.” (Syazratuz-Zahab, jilid 5, 324)<\/p>\n

Beliau tidak menunaikan ibadah haji bukan berarti lari dari kewajiban, namun, haji tidak wajib di atas beliau, karena kemiskinan dan kefakirannya. Bahkan beliau pernah tidak mempunyai pakaian dan makanan untuk dimakan.<\/p>\n

Ada sebuah cerita\u00a0 beliau pernah kehilangan uang 1 dinar emas di masjid. Lalu beliau teringat dan balik ke masjid. Setelah sampai di masjid, beliau menemukan uang tersebut di sana. Namun, setelah berfikir, beliau tidak mengambilnya, karena khawatir bahwa uang itu bukan miliknya. (Thabaqat Syafi’iyah Kubra, Imam Subki)<\/p>\n

Inilah maksudnya dengan ‘iffah. Memelihara diri dari yang syubhat dan haram. Di antara adat-kebiasaan beliau, jika memiliki uang, beliau membeli banyak makanan, kemudian membagi-bagikannya kepada muridnya. Beliau menulis beberapa kitab yang fenomenal dan masih dikaji oleh para ulama sampai sekarang. Di antaranya Muhazzab dan Tanbih dalam fan fiqih, tabshirah dan Luma’ dalam fan ushul fiqih.<\/p>\n

Kitab Luma’ dalam fan usuhul fiqih telah disyarahi oleh Syaikh Yasin bin Isa al-Fadani. Kitab ini sampai sekarang masih banyak dikaji di berbagai pessantren di Indonesia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
