Abu Hurairah meriwayatkan sebuah hadist bahwa Rasulullah SAW bersabda:<\/p>\n

(Aku adalah seorang nabi pertama yang diciptakan dan terakhir diutus).<\/p>\n

Hadist ini menandakan bahwa Rasulullah SAW adalah makhluk pertama yang diciptakan oleh Allah SWT sebelum menciptakan apapun. Jelas sudah bahwa beliau adalah makhluk paling mulia, akramul kholqi<\/em>, yang diciptakan oleh Allah SWT. Kemudian Imam Busyiri dalam Burdahnya menyebut:<\/p>\n

(ketika Allah SWT menyebut seorang pengajak kita (Nabi Muhammad SAW) sebagai makhluk paling mulia, secara stimulan kita, sebagai umatnya, juga menjadi semulia-mulianya umat manusia).<\/p>\n

Lalu dimana letak kesalahan memeringati maulid Nabi? Kita bersyukur kepada Allah SWt karena telah ditakdirkan menjadi umatnya Rasulullah Muhammad SAW tanpa kita minta. Allah SWT mengklaim umat Rasulullah sebagai sebaik-baik umat manusia di muka bumi. Kalau saja hari kelahiran teman kita dirayakan sedemikian hebat dan heroik, salahkah kita memeringati hati lahir sebaik dan semulia-mulianya makhluk?<\/p>\n

Manusia yang sejak kelahirannya telah dianugerahi Allah SWT kekhususan-kekhususan, seperti lahir dalam keadaan telah disunat, padamnya api sesembahan Majusi yang tiada padam selama 1000 tahun lamanya. Kelahiran yang membikin Nabi Musa AA sangat menginginkan menjadi umat beliau.<\/p>\n

Kembali pada peringatan Maulid Nabi, setiap daerah memiliki cara masing-masing. Di Yogyakarta, misalnya, peringatan Maulid Nabi dikenal dengan grebeg maulud, dimana gunungan besar berisi makanan, minuman, atau hasil bumi, diarak secara massal. Di desa Loram Kulon, Jati, Kudus, Jawa Tengah, peringatan maulid Nabi dikenal dengan istilah kirab ampyang, yaitu masyarakat setempat mengarak sebuah makanan yang dihiasi dengan ampyang, nasi, dan krupuk menuju masjid.<\/p>\n

Dan masih banyak lagi tradisi-tradisi peringatan Maulid Nabi di Indonesia yang belum saya sebutkan di sini. Intinya, semua tradisi perayaan Maulid Nabi yang digelar dan dilakukan oleh setiap daerah berorientasi pada wujud syukur atas kelahiran Nabi Muhammad SAW, mahluk paling mulia dari semua makhluk Allah SWT.<\/p>\n

Dalam Maulid Dhiya’ullami’ karangan Sayyid Umar bin Salim bin Hafidz disebut:<\/p>\n
