Banyak kiai dan santri yang berduka. Ada salah satu santri yang berlebihan dalam menangisinya di hadapan Kiai Baidlowi Lasem.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYa Allah\u2026.\u201d Sang santri meratap<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBagaimana ini, Mbah. Mbah Ber sampun kapundut. Yang sepuh-sepuh sudah habis (meninggal). Bagaimana nasib kami ini, Mbah..\u201d lanjutnya meratapi di hadapan Kiai Baidlowi Lasem.<\/p>\n<p>Dengan tenang Kiai Baildowi Lasem menjawab, \u201cTidak usah kau tangisi berlebihan. Tunggu saja, nanti yang muda-muda juga akan tua.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dari cerita di atas, kita dapat mengambil pelajaran, bahwa kita yang masih muda atau para santri yang masih dalam tahap belajar harap bersungguh-sungguh dalam mengaji, menyerap ilmu para kiainya, karena kelak kita akan menjadi tua, menggantikan estafet ke-kiai-an. Para santri akan menjadi kiai yang akan menularkan keilmuan kepada para santri berikutnya dan seterusnya.<\/p>\n<p>Tentunya sangat berbeda, santri yang sregep dengan yang tidak sregep. Tentunya sangat berbeda, santri yang menyiapkan bekal keilmuan dengan yang tidak.
