Tamu tersebut berkata bahwa dirinya bertemu Kiai Bisri Mustofa dan mendapatkan pesan agar Gus Mus menyampaikan kepada Penerbit Menara Kudus bahwa cetakan kitab <em>Tafsir al-Ibriz<\/em> selama ini ada kesalahan tulis, yaitu surat al-Fath ayat 18. Gus Mus mengira orang tersebut bergurau, sebab ia mengatakan bertemu langsung dengan Kiai Bisri Mustofa bukan dalam kondisi mimpi, namun terjaga. Namun, setelah dibuka isi <em>Tafsir al-Ibriz<\/em>, ternyata benar apa yang disampaikan orang Cirebon tersebut. Ada kesalahan. Iapun akhirnya menyampaikan pesan ayahnya tersebut kepada Penerbit Menara Kudus agar yang bersangkutan merevisi kesalahan sesuai ayat yang benar. Mendengar peristiwa ini, Kiai Sya\u2019rani Ahmadi merasa heran, sebab ia merupakan salah satu dewan pentahshih Tafsir al-Ibriz bersama dengan Kiai Arwani Kudus, Kiai Hisyam Kudus, dan Kiai Abu Umar namun tidak menemui kesalahan tulis ini. Padahal menurutnya ia sudah berkali-kali membaca tafsir tersebut.
