Suatu ketika, ketua Pesantren Al-Hidayat melapor kepada KH. Ma’shoem Ahmad tentang kondisi stok beras yang telah habis. Waktu itu, beliau baru selesai mengajar kitab Al-Fiyah.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Mengetahui hal tersebut, beliau mengatakan, \u201cKalau begitu, mari kita berdoa bersama-sama dan kalian yang mengamini “Ya Allah gusti, orang yang ada dalam tanggungan kami sangat banyak, akan tetapi beras yang ada pada kami telah habis. Untuk itu saya mohon beras darimu… !\u201d<\/div>\n
Tatkala doa berlangsung, ada salah satu santri yang menyela, \u201cAmin Mbah, 1 ton!” Kiai Ma\u2019shoem Ahmad membalas, “Tidak satu ton, tapi lebih!\u201d<\/div>\n

Setelah doa dipanjatkan, berjarak beberapa hari kemudian, ada becak yang membawa beberapa karung berisi beras, yang tertulis nama pengirimnya yang beralamat di Banyuwangi. Karena penasaran dengan siapa yang mengirim beras tersebut, maka terbesitlah dalam diri Kiai Ma\u2019shoem Ahmad untuk berkunjung ke Banyuwangi untuk mengucapkan terima kasih, tapi yang terjadi, beliau tidak menemukan nama si pengirim tersebut walaupun sudah menemukan alamatnya.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
